NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) is a patented inkjet technology and one of its kind in the world that prints separate nanoparticle “inks” for the build and support materials. This enables the production of metal additive manufactured parts, with unprecedented levels of details, surface finish, and accuracy.


NanoParticle Jetting works by simultaneously jetting ultra-fine layers of solid nanoparticle ink from sealed cartridges for both build and support materials onto a system build-tray within the XJet AM system. Liquid “jacket” around the nanoparticles evaporate as it is sintered at extremely high temperatures, allowing the dense ultrafine layers of the build material to bond at the desired location. The supports are easily removed with almost no manual intervention.


XJET’s NanoParticle Jetting technology makes it possible to enjoy unlimited design flexibility of fine details and precision, thanks to the nanoparticles and ultra-thin layers. Unprecedented simplicity and safety are also achieved because of how the “ink” is delivered through sealed cartridges that eliminate the need for dealing with hazardous powders.
