PTC Solutions Day 2015
As we become increasingly reliant on smartphones and computers, the ability to communicate, connect and exchange information with each other becomes more important than ever. The process of acquiring information through the internet is expected to be seamless, efficient and interlinked. As such, connectivity was the main topic highlighted at PTC Solutions Day 2015 on the 22nd of May.
During the seminar, participants were informed about the change in product life cycle management due to the increasing number of products that are able to connect to the internet. Manufacturers are able to access product information at any time or place, thus enabling better work productivity and flexibility. Manufacturing methods are also becoming more diverse, with techniques such as Additive manufacturing/3D Printing Technology gaining prominence in various industries.
Through our interactions with various attendees at PTC Solutions Day 2015, we got to know more about some of the difficulties they faced during the traditional manufacturing process and shared our insights about how 3D Printing technology can be an alternative solution for them. In addition, we also explained the differences between Fused Deposition Modelling, PolyJet and Arcam technology and provided participants with the opportunity for a first-hand look at our vast array of 3D printed samples and materials.
Most importantly, in order for attendees to gain a better understanding of 3D Printing technology, we addressed any enquiries and concerns that they had and advised them on how it can be effectively integrated into their relevant industries. Aside from that, we shared our expertise about how 3D Printing can positively impact their business with advantages such as enhanced work efficiency, improved ability to make design revisions and lesser production time and cost.
