NTU MAE celebrates Singapore First 3D Printing Festival!

MAE will be hosting Singapore’s very 1st 3D printing Festival on the 17th of Dec 2013. This finale event marks the end of another first: Singapore’s very first 3D printing Competition. Invites were sent out to primary, secondary and tertiary level educational institutions as well as some overseas universities as well. News of this competition had spread pretty fast following which and many international sites related to 3D Printing posted up the details on how to enroll as well as the Grand Prize of $10,000 that awaited the winners. The Grand Prize winners of the first 3D printing Competition will be announced during the festival.
We will also have the first Singapore 3D printed fashion show, with 3D printed fashion that have been featured in fashion shows in K.L, Japan and Paris. One of the more notable designers that we would be featuring would include Melinda Looi, whom amongst several other accolades, has been nominated to one of the representatives for the World Fashion Week which will be held in Paris. More than a dozen of these pieces have been kindly loaned by Materialise, a leader in Additive manufacturing technologies.
We will be opening up the show to our industry partners, principals of junior colleges, directors of polytechnics, their students and the members of the public as well. 3D printing equipment vendors will be presenting during the show to showcase the latest innovations in printing technologies and provide presentation slots for them to address the various industry partners that might be interested to find out more about these technologies.
So come on down to the Research Technoplaza @ NTU from 2pm on 17th December and be amazed by the 3D Printing revolution!
