GPA Innova, Desktop Metal, and more recognised at TCT Awards 2018
The prestigious TCT Awards 2018 was held on September 26th in Birmingham, England, and Creatz3D was honored to see GPA Innova and Desktop Metal being recognized for their technological innovations among others on the night.
The TCT Awards recognizes the best design-to-manufacturing technological innovations globally. In addition, the TCT Hall of Fame inducts members from the 3D technologies industry who have dedicated a lifetime of research, development, innovation, and promotions of the technologies that have created and perpetuated dozens of new industries.
For the TCT Post-Processing Award 2018, that celebrates the technologies that add final touches to the 3D printing/additive manufacturing process chain, DLyte: Metal DryLyte Electropolishing System from GPA Innova came away as the winner. The technology polishes metals without changing the geometries of the object with the innovative use of solid bodies.
Mr. Jaume Miras Llopart, CFO of GPA Innova, was present on the night to receive the award on behalf of his company, and we would like to congratulate him and his team for being recognized for their hard work.
At the same time, we would like to also congratulate Prof. Emanuel ‘Ely’ Sachs for being inducted into the TCT Hall of Fame. Known as the inventor of binder jetting, Professor Sachs is also the co-founder of Desktop Metal, the brand behind affordable metal 3D printing systems for the office and production.
Also, the Production System from Desktop Metal which will be released in 2019, was given a Highly Commended award for the TCT Hardware Award 2018 – Non Polymers.
