Solvay to develop high-performance FDM materials for Stratasys 3D printers

Advanced materials leader, Solvay, has been named as the first member of Stratasys authorized materials program – and will help deliver new materials that push the limits of high-performance polymers leveraging on the latter’s Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology.

Announced at RAPID+TCT 2019 in Detroit, America, the partnership will see Solvay getting access to tools and Stratasys expertise to develop materials aligned with their quality and performance benchmarks. There will also be a shared roadmap to guide the selection and development of materials.

Solvay to develop high-performance materials for Stratasys FDM 3D printers

Having helped customers engineer durable, highly repeatable parts 3D printed parts using advanced materials – Nylon 12CF, TPU 92A, and Antero 800NA PEKK-based material, Stratasys is looking to expand their portfolio of advanced, specialized materials for high-performance FDM 3D printers like the Stratasys F900 3D printer, and broaden the usage of 3D printing for manufacturing production applications across industries.
